- How many people can use the Hotspot at one time?
Our basic Hotspot controllers can manage 100 simultaneous connections on both wireless and wired connections. We also have larger controllers which support up to 2000 users per controller.
- How does a customer pay to use the Hotspot?
Your customers can signup and use the Hotspot instantly 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. They may pay via Visa, Mastercard and American Express or you may sell them a Recharge Card which they can scratch off the rear panel revealing a one-time-use Recharge Code.
- What settings need to be changed to use the Hotspot?
We utilise DAT technology on our Hotspot which means it doesn't matter what IP address, Subnet Mask, Gateway, Proxy Server, SMTP server or Home Page the customer has set. DAT overrides these settings with the correct settings to make the customers connection work without user intervention or technical support.
- What type of Internet connection is required to run a Hotspot?
Our Hotspots will run on any permanent Internet connection with a static IP address. Currently we have Hotspots running on ADSL, ADSL2, ISDN, 2-Way Satellite, Wireless and Standard Ethernet.
